Wildlife Research and
Conservation Society (WRCS) is a registered NGO based at Pune. WRCS is involved in research on issues
related to wildlife conservation. Opportunities are available with WRCS for
persons of Indian Nationality on the following projects: a. Elephant Conservation in
North Kanara Landscape North Kanara district is
located in Karnataka State. WRCS is
working in this region for the last three years. The researcher will be working
in close association with Forest Department and local communities. Duration of the project: 1 year b. Ecology of Forest Owlet Forest Owlet Heteroglaux blewitti is critically
endangered endemic bird species of the country.
Research focuses on ecological aspects of the species. Duration of the
project: 3 years. Applicant may plan to pursue a doctoral degree on this
project, if interested. Individuals
