Dear all,
Interns are required to help in conducting *socio-economic surveys in West
Bengal* for an ongoing project on *Gangetic river dolphin*. Students with a
degree in social science (Psychology/ Sociology/ Economics/ Social Work)
will be preferred.
Details regarding the internship are provided below:
*Project*: Development of conservation action plan for river dolphins.
*Institute*: Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun.
*Work period*: December 2018 onwards
*Field site*: Farakka, Murshidabad, Diamond harbor
Lodging for the interns will be taken care of. In addition, the interns
will be paid a stipend of Rs 8000 per month.
*Essential requirements*:
1. Thorough in social science research methods.
2. **Fluent in reading and speaking Bengali.
3. Willing to work in harsh field conditions.
