*The Mud on Boots Project*

*Call for Nominations*

Sanctuary Nature Foundation’s Mud on Boots Project
<https://sanctuarynaturefoundation.org/projects/mud-on-boots> invites
nominations for its 2023-2025 batch. The project focuses on supporting
individuals from local communities who are doing extraordinary
biodiversity/wildlife conservation-oriented work but whose contributions
and potential for conservation leadership are unrecognised because of a
lack of formal educational qualifications, language and communication
barriers, and other mainstream opportunities. Selected individuals will
receive a monetary grant of three lakhs rupees and personalised strategic
support for two years from Sanctuary Nature Foundation in the form of field
trips, expert input on their work, publicity, communication of their
inspiring conservation stories, and more!

If you are a researcher/student/ member of an NGO or even a government
official working in the biodiversity conservation sector and know of any
unsung grassroots conservationists, this is your chance to bring them out.

*Criteria for nominations:*

·         The candidate must be a grassroots conservationist working in
a rural landscape and addressing essential biodiversity
conservation-related issues.

·         The candidate must have a brief idea about the work they want
to carry out and/or expand under the Mud on Boots Project.

·         The candidate should have a mentor committed to
guiding/overseeing their work.

·         The candidate must have two references.

* Nominees who do not have the tools to expand their work through
external funding; and are working in neglected landscapes, on conflict
mitigation, or community engagement will be given priority.

*How to nominate:*

Submit your nominations by filling out this google form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12UYv0Q7WQqnk02zfMCvviAaet9nOBnSLRO7hNe3aiy0/edit?ts=616d3e79

The last date for submitting filled nomination forms is September 30,
2022

*Note: *Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email before
November 15, 2022, to complete the rest of the selection process.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards

Neyi Jamoh
Project Coordinator,
The Mud on Boots Project.
