BITS Pilani’s Goa campus in partnership with New Delhi based Council on
Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) is launching a doctoral program in
Climate policy focussing on capacity building in long-term greenhouse gas
emissions modeling in India’s Agriculture, forests and land-use (AFOLU)
sector. Applications are invited in this regard for the position of ‘Research
Fellow’ in the Department of ‘Humanities and Social Sciences’ at BITS
Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, for sponsored research project
titled “Capacity
Building for Modelling India’s Long-Term Land Use Emissions”
Principal Investigator: Dr. Rajiv Kumar Chaturvedi
Key skills required: Remote Sensing, GIS, High proficiency in R/ Python
based programming, experience in forestry and land-use research
Duration of the project: Three years
Fellowship Amount (Rs.): INR 40,000 per month (fixed)
Last date of Application:21st of April, 2023
