Join us to learn more about Rabies on World Rabies Day.
Description:- The rabies virus is one of the most widespread diseases in
our society today. The ease at which this ailment spreads from animal to
humans also puts a large population of wildlife in danger as well.
Rabies affects the nervous system which sends the animal or human into a
terrifying frenzy. It is almost always fatal and so, our best defense is to
understand and prevent this deadly disease.
The clue that most diagnosticians look for is the *Negri bodies *found in
the nerves of the rabies affected animal. These structures play a vital
role in identifying the disease and its evolution over time.
Speaker:- Dr. A Sha Arun, Director- Research and Veterinary Operations,
Wildlife SOS
