*QGIS Workshop (Advanced) is organized for the Tech savvy people who are
working tremendously in the field of Earth Conservation on 5-6 Jan,
2019 (Sat-Sun) at Ahmedabad-Gujarat*
*Learning Objectives:*
*1. Advanced Digitization Tools & Map Making Process*
In this particular session you will learn basic/advance
digitization tools for your area like clip, merge, extract, intersect
etc... This
will be the unique kind of tools from the different softwares of GIS where
it fulfill your every demand of making map for your field data in any of
the earth science field and simultaneously and that too in a user friendly
way. You will also learn about making of the maps for your
publications/reports after your work is being done in GIS with coordinates
and grids.
*2. Proximity Analysis*
Under this exercise, you will get a chance for an exposure to create an
effective area for your studies (like EIA, Industrial, forest cover,
flora/fauna range, flood zone etc) with various buffer tools of QGIS. This
experience and understanding of proximity elements will play an important
role to understand the importance of map in your field practice.
*3. Interpolation Methods*
This important tool will take you to the level of data science where you
can predict the future in some of the meteorological parameters as well as
other abiotic/biotic data and also the elevation profile. In this session
you will also understand the different method like IDW, krigging, spline
etc method for your field data use from ecological and economical
perspective.
*4. Digital Elevation model creation and much more...*
In any remote sensing study, model creation is a very crucial part nowdays
to predict the earth surface and its factors. In this session you will
learn contour line creations from various satellite imageries, labeling
the contour data, creation of hillshade, slope,aspect etc with various
tools of QGIS and also to learn about visualization of DEM with given
database for your practice. It enables you to see the unseen and
unidentified feature to command the software for more image processing and
exact ground scenario from the different satellite imageries.
