The School of Liberal Studies at Azim Premji University (Bangalore)
invites applications for a *project assistant *in the social aspects of
ecology. The project assistant will be involved in mapping habitat types
and vegetation of a grassland ecosystem, and conducting survey to
understand patterns of grassland use by local community.
Candidates with an MSc degree in any area of ecology or biology are
encouraged to apply. Experience in field work is a requirement, as she/he
has to spend 2-4 months in the field. Experience in questionnaire survey is
a plus, and so is an ability to speak Kannada.
This is a paid position for 6 months, but may be extendable after
evaluation of the initial phase of the project. Interested candidates are
requested to send a cover letter stating research interests, and a CV to
