Established with the aim to provide education and to generate
awareness about Nature Conservation, Maharashtra Nature Park (MNP) with
its wonderful settings and rich biodiversity makes ideal place for this
purpose.
The 15 hectares Park is based on the “Web of Life” theme. A nature
trail provided from one end of the Park to the other end. The total length
of
the trail is about 1.8 km; this begins just right from the Education Centre
Building and leads to Nursery area. This trail covers all the Educational
sections available at Nature Park. There is wealth of herbage and numerous
large trees, bamboo, the web of countless spider and birds call.
Educational Sections covered during Trail: Forest Plant, Butterfly
Plant, Nakshtra Van, Rain water harvesting, Wooded Area, Nursery,
Medicinal Plant, Palm Section, Fruit Tree, Vermicomposting.
Entry Fee: Rs. 50/- per person
Itinerary:
•Reporting Timing: - 8:00 am
•Trail Timing: 8:15 am to 11:00 pm
•End of the Trail: 11:30 pm
