ATREE invites applications for one Project Assistant for a Research Project
‘Organization and Management of a Central Database and diversity analysis
of grid-based transect data of biodiversity and biological resources in NE
India Region. The project is funded by Department of Biotechnology,
Government of India, New Delhi. The multi-partnership research project
covers biosystematic & ecology studies of flowering and non-flowering
plants, selected animal groups and documenting biological resources across
the states of NE region that harbour two global hotspots of biodiversity.
*Research Position: Project Assistant (Computer) -one* *Qualifications*:
M.Sc. (Forestry, Ecology, Environmental Science, Zoology, Botany or any
allied life sciences stream), B.Tech./B.E., M.Tech
*Requirements*: Strong aptitude in data analytical skills with knowledge of
statistical software and packages such as R. The candidate will be required
to manage and analyse the data related to plants, animals and community
ecology, and biological resources. Knowledge on RS-GIS and software related
to spatial analysis will be preferable.
*Emoluments*: Rs. 25,000/- per month fixed, strictly as per DST guidelines*
