Terracon Ecotech(tm) Pvt. Ltd. is an ecology based environment solutions
provider based in Mumbai. We are India's first and only ecology based
advisory and turnkey services Company, offering services to
corporates, governments and civil society in the areas of ecology,
sustainability and environment management.

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic candidate to fit in
the role of Project Manager - Biodiversity.

Key responsibilities would include:

Design and execute projects pertaining to Biodiversity
Develop new services related to Biodiversity



Essential Qualifications:  At least a post graduate in followed by
minimum 2 years experience working on projects with a field work
component. Candidate with fresh PhD is desirable.


Candidate should have following key skills:

excellent leadership qualities
willingness to travel often and go for frequent field surveys
dual ability to work in field and at the same time also present
findings in a lucid manner through reports and presentations
familiarity with environmental regulations
familiarity with biodiversity of at least some of the various
biogeographic zones of India
willingness to attend various technical conferences and keep oneself
abreast with latest advancements in this field
proficiency in microsoft excel and at least one data analyzing tool
such as S, R etc.
willingness to learn new softwares and tools in ecology
good interpersonal skills
good networking skills
strong persuasion and negotiation skills

Above all, candidate must be willing to work hard and continuously
innovate and experiment.

The projects the candidate would have to work on are mainly
consultancy projects either for the private sector, public enterprises
or governments. These are not hard-core research projects but have a
strong application angle yet the job requires continuous creative
inputs as the biodiversity consultancy sphere is only in its nascent
stages.


The job is challenging and fun at the same time. If the candidate
shows adequate drive and passion for it, enormous potential for growth
lies in this sphere.
