On the occasion of *World Earth Day*, SPROUTS Environment Trust is
announcing the *April Edition* of their *Monthly Lecture Series* on *Wednesday,
Apr 21, 2021 (18:00 - 20:00hrs IST)*.

Title: *Wild Antarctica*
Speaker: *Ganesh Pangare (Environment & Development Consultant)*

About the Speaker: Recognized as a leader in the area of environment, water
resources, agriculture, green infrastructure, climate and
sustainability, *Ganesh
Pangare*'s experience in facilitating and managing sustainable development
programmes span over 30 years, largely across Asia-Pacific but also Africa
and the South Americas.

Over the years, he has held various positions including that of Regional
Director for the Asia-Pacific region, CEO, Director, Programme Coordinator,
Scientist and Researcher, working internationally with organisations such
as the International Water Association (IWA), the World Bank, the
International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Department for
International Development (DFID UK) and, in India, with the World Water
Institute, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Institute of Rural
Management, India’s Natural Resources and Economics Foundation and the
Centre for Science and Environment. In addition to these full-time
assignments, he has also consulted with the International Food Policy
Research Institute (IFPRI), Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit
(GIZ), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Food and Agriculture
Organization (FAO).

Ganesh Pangare's technical training as a hydrogeologist, combined with a
professional management degree and the knowledge and skills gleaned through
many years of working with governments, civil society as well as
international organizations, have all equipped him to lead and manage
multidisciplinary teams and develop programmes connecting science, practice
and policy.

He has been an Ashoka Fellow, a LEAD Fellow & an Invited Research Fellow at
the East-West Centre, Hawaii, USA. He has various peer-reviewed journal and
popular science publications.
