*Internship position at the Thenmala Macaque Project in Kerala, India*

*Position description: *
Thenmala Macaque Project is looking for interns to assist in field work on
bonnet macaques at the Thenmala field site until the end of November 30,
2022 with the possible extension up to two weeks. This is an excellent
opportunity to gain hands-on experience observing macaque behavior and
learning field techniques in a wild setting. We are looking for people
(early career) who want to pursue a career in primatology and are
interested in learning about the various aspects of fieldwork.
*Responsibilities:*
Assist the field team in behavioral data collection
Collect acoustic samples of bonnet macaque vocalizations and prepare vocal
repertoire list
Create content and manage social media of Thenmala Macaque Project
*Requirements:*
Must have completed bachelors/masters
Basic knowledge of primates is mandatory
Prior experience in field data collection would be ideal but not mandatory
(training will be provided)
Experience working in tropical field conditions for longer hours
Experience in managing social media platforms outreach
*Remunerations:*
This is a voluntary position, but basic accommodation will be provided free
of cost. Intern must take care of the expenses related to travel (to and
from field site) and food.
Internship certificate will be provided upon successful completion.
*Term of Appointment*:
