threats, opportunities and financing avenues for States.*

Iora Ecological Solutions is engaged in a project led by MoEFCC, IUCN and
State Forest Departments to seeks to identify opportunities for land
restoration in India towards meeting our Bonn Challenge Commitment (

*Project name:* Identifying trends of land degradation in 5 states of India
and identification of opportunities/ interventions to reverse land
degradation

*Internship type:* Home-based

*Period:* 3 months

*Candidate background: *Ecology/Forestry/Climate Change/Environmental
Science

*Expected work:* Identification of drivers of degradation and understanding
current land degradation scenarios, exploring land restoration
opportunities, undertaking policy/non-policy mapping of support and
challenges for land restoration initiatives, creation of stakeholder maps
in the States.
