Would you kindly circulate this notice to the YETI list (if it has not been
circulated previously)?
Dear friends & colleagues,
some colleagues and I are organizing a panel discussion and paper session
on Indian forest bureaucracy at this coming spring's American Association
of Geographers conference, and we are hoping you or someone you can share
this notice with will want to present a paper (please see attached
announcement for details). Our panel discussion will feature luminaries who
have contributed fundamental ideas to our understanding of Indian forest
management, and also me. We hope to tie this to a series of papers with
fresher research that focuses specifically on the behavior of forest
officers and related government officials.
A small upside of the pandemic is that virtual conferences facilitate
broader participation - anyone can participate without having to travel
(although apparently we'll have to be awake during the day time in
Seattle), and I'm told registration costs for the virtual conference are
low if you are from a developing country. Please pass the notice along.
