*IUKWC: Grassroots Field Exposure Session (GFES) & User Engagement
Initiative (UEI) 2019:*
The India-UK Water Centre is inviting applications from members of its Open
Network of Water Scientists to participate in a Grassroots Field Exposure
Session (GFES) and User Engagement Initiative (UEI) in February/March 2019.
In 2019, the IUKWC will be holding the two events consecutively around the
same sectoral focus and theme. The participants will get an opportunity to
interact with stakeholders and to develop new research ideas to undertake
action-oriented research and establish stakeholder links in Central India.
The participants will also get an opportunity to develop linkages with
other Indian and UK scientists with similar interests.
*Sectoral focus: Water resource management and supply *
*Regional Focus: Central India *
*Theme: Building cross-sectoral collaborations to understand the dynamic
interactions across the water-energy-food nexus *
*Venue: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal,
Madhya Pradesh, India *
*Dates: GFES will run from 25th February – 27th February 2019 *
* UEI will run from 28th February - 2nd March 2019*
*Deadline: 10th November 2018*
We are inviting applications for either one or both of the events.
Applicants must be members of the Open Network of India-UK Water
Scientists, which is open to any Indian-based or UK-based water scientist
to join.
The events would be of particular interest to practitioners in the fields
ranging from water supply, agricultural sciences, energy, water resource
management and policy, social sciences, irrigation, hydrology, meteorology
and geology, amongst others. The type of event you would be interested in
depends on the type of interactions that you feel you are most experienced
to contribute to and/or benefit from. We encourage applications from
scientists / stakeholders at all career stages. For further details
