Wildlife Information Liaison Development society (WILD) is undertaking a
two-year CEPF-funded project as a continuation to its initiative of setting
up Conservation and Community Reserves at Theni and Kodaikanal in 2012. The
project aims to:

 1.    Setup the proposed Theni Conservation Reserve

2.     Improve the green economies (NTFP collection and Eco-tourism) of
local communities in Theni and Kodaikanal

3.     Explore self-sustaining mechanisms of financial support for managing
protected areas

4.    Explore outreach initiatives to improve conservation of the landscape

We invite applications from enthusiastic self-motivated individuals towards
two full-time Research Associate positions with the following eligibility:

a.    Associate-Livelihoods: A postgraduate degree in any branch of social
science including social work and anthropology with prior experience in
interacting with local communities

b.    Associate-Research & Outreach: A postgraduate degree in any branch of
natural or social science with prior experience in undertaking interviews.
An additional interest in designing outreach material and undertaking
biodiversity surveys will be beneficial

Both positions require basic data entry skills, analyzing interview data
and writing reports in English and, the ability to converse and write
proficiently in Tamil. The remuneration is INR 11000 for the first year and
if continued, INR 13000 for the second year.

This position beginning immediately, will be based in Theni for a period of
one year beginning from June 2013. Interested individuals should send in
