The > program is in need of an Associate Course Director. > The specific responsibilities of the incumbent are: > To assist the Course Director in developing and implementing the course > syllabus, schedules and teaching program; > To liaise with teaching faculties and institutions, including forest > departments of various states, for efficient conduct of classes, laboratory > and field practicals, dissertation projects and visits to institutions, and > evaluations of Masters students; > To provide continuous mentoring of Masters students to address their > individual academic and general to enable them to excel in their studies; > To accompany students on field trips to supervise and monitor the field > practicals; > To serve as the first person whom the students can approach for help in any > academic subject matter; > To serve as the key person to assist the students in developing and > implementing their dissertation projects and resulting publications under > supervision of their Dissertation Advisory Committee; > To prepare project proposals and reports to funding agencies and government > departments to generate support for the course; > To Assist Course Director in program administration and other tasks, > including management of budget, expenditure and financial discipline; and > The opportunity to implement own active research program in the field of > wildlife biology and conservation, in addition to stipulated activities; > Essential Qualification: (1) Ph.D in the field of wildlife biology (2) > Research and teaching experience in Wildlife & Conservation Biology or > related fields (3) A good track record of peer reviewed publications. (4) > Ability to undertake extensive traveling in difficult terrains.
