The thing is guys, the room cannot be taken over for very long anyway -
Lineone know I own it and who the ops are, so if it happens then so what?
One night's chaos. Big deal. The very next day Wolfy or Emma will sort it
and it will be back to normal. I am in contact with Wolfy and Emma quite a
lot (ie. most of the evening every day), so if any of you have a problem
then phone me if I'm not online and I will ask one of them to take action
when they next can. You should all have our numbers as I've sent an email
to here with them so you just need to ring. I'm not at all worried by all
of this, so I don't think you lot need to get so het up over it to be honest
:-) I understand your concerns, but when push comes to shove it just aint
worth wasting energy over is it? Sure, we need to try to control the room
to keep it the place we all love, but things like room take-overs are just a
waste of breath when we are on a server as secure as Lineone is :-) Sure,
get good scripts with channel protections - I recomend eXtreme ( d/l from
www.mircx.com ) although it doesn't have any flashy popups or anything - you
can import those if you desperately need to have popups, but it is a
fantastic op script. Other than that use my phone number, use the IRCops
(that's what they are paid for) and use emails to community@xxxxxxxxxxx for
problems you can't deal with - most of the time myself or TD will be able to
sort them, and if we can't we are very happy to speak to Wolfy or Emma and
they are very happy to sort stuff out. Above all, the room is safe - it
will never be taken over whilst I own it, you guys will always have your
roles (unless you mess up badly lol) and I will continue to trust you all to
do the stuff you do so well :-) You are all brilliant ops - even the IRCops
have said we have the best ops on the server!!! Keep at it and don't worry
so much.

Just thought I'd have my say.
Although, I may be talking out of my posterior here, but surely there =
are measures in place on the Lineone chat server that make taking over a =
room that you have a say in (ie you have ops or own the room). To stop =
peeps taking over. =20
Also, there are a number of anti-spamming and/or room protection scripts =
available for mIRC, although I can't off the top of my head think of any =
(sorry).
/me thinks some research should be done to find a decent set of scripts =
for us to use.
