writing this from Ottawa....
You've probably read that the GG is throwing a garden party to end all
garden parties tomorrow. Nickelback, Gordie Lightfoot, Barenakes Ladies
etc. It's rained in Ottawa most of the week---all bloody day yesterday and
today. In the local daily, she talks about tackling the hosting chores
again, "I haven't done a gig in three years, but I'll try. We'll see how
it works." Maybe she's thinking of returning to her former career after
the current one ends.
