Thank you to everyone who responded to the EAC's plea for help; we have more than enough volunteers to fill the required spots. Those who responded first will be contacted privately. Thanks also to the MEA folks who forwarded the message below to their e-mail list. Cheers, -Cheri Frazer ________________________________ From: Manitoba Editors' Association [mailto:manitobaeditors@xxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, November 09, 2007 6:16 PM Subject: Looking for 2 volunteers for November 19 - includes honorarium The EAC has one Winnipeg member who will be writing 2 certification tests on Monday, Nov. 19th. They are looking for: (1) a volunteer to be an invigilator from 9:30-4:30 (2) a person who is willing to be a backup for this same period in case one of the invigilators can't make it or has to leave for some reason. Location: Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada office (located in Portage Place mall): 302-393 Portage Avenue. The office has a wireless connection so you could bring a laptop and work there for the day. We already have one invigilator but need one more plus a spare. Here are the details from the certification coordinator: The certification policy states that two invigilators are required. This is to prevent any perception of collusion. There is a $50 honorarium for each invigilator, plus transportation and parking. The backup gets $25 for each standby day, even if they aren't pressed into service. If you're interested, please contact Cheri Frazer at work: cfrazer@xxxxxxxxx or 453-3339 x669.
