Subject: [mccc] The Cumberland Corvair Cruise-In - Let me know if you are
interested in going!
The weekend of March 19th is set for the Cumberland Corvair Cruise-In at
Cumberland Mountain State Park in Crossville, Tennessee. The event will
feature lots of outdoor events involving cars (yes, lots and lots of
Corvairs) and live music in the large hall on Saturday night from Darrell
Varley and Ridin’ the Rails. It will be a decidedly casual affair: a
chance for Nashville club members to get together and visit safely with
other Corvair club members from Knoxville, Chattanooga, Lexington and
North Carolina. There is plenty of room to spread out, social distance
(wear masks when needed), plus be in the great outdoors while looking at
cars, getting technical or participating in an area cruise.
There will be no competition or car judging and we will just keep it
simple. Meals are on your own in your cabin or in town but pizza will be
served Saturday night. There’s no registration fee but contributions for
the pizza and trying your luck with the 50/50 will be welcomed. There are
plenty of cabins available to reserve, including single and double cabins,
at the Cumberland Mountain State Park plus there is lodging in town. The
park cabin deposit is refundable if you decide to cancel, less a $15 fee.
We would like a head count for planning purposes. Please reply to this
email and let me know if you plan to attend.
We had 14 people attend the monthly club meeting last night. Thanks to
all who were able to be there.
And don’t forget, it’s membership renewal time. Dues are $20 annually.
Please pay your 2021 dues as this helps the club fund activities, outings
and other club needs during the year. You can write a check to MCCC and
mail it to:
John R. Miles, Attorney at Law
208 Third Ave. No., Ste. 300
Nashville, TN 37201-1642
If you would like to host a tech session, meet up, attend an area car
show/cruise-in, lead a country drive or propose another club activity,
please let me know. Our schedule is open until the Cumberland Cruise-In.
The next club meeting will be held on Monday, February 15th.
Happy motoring!
Matt
