It's a Corvair Christmas!
Jingle Bells, exhaust smells, Corvair's running great,
Oh what fun it is to ride in a "140"horse open sleigh.
Okay, that's enough. Let's stick to the important matters at hand:
MCCC Corvair Christmas Dinner and Party
Next Sunday evening, December 12th, 5:00pm
Santa Fe Cattle Company
2520 Music Valley Drive (near Opryland), Nashville
We have reserved (and I have confirmed with restaurant management 3 times)
that we will have the private party room for our gathering.
People will order off the menu and pay for their own food and drink.
The club member gift exchange, also known as "Dirty Santa", will be a party
highlight. Participation is open to all and voluntary. Gifts should be in
the $25 range. Men will bring gifts marked male and women's gifts will be
marked female. The gift exchange guidelines will be confirmed at the party
but, in essence, you draw a number and select a gift when it is your turn.
The next person can choose a new gift or select yours (and you would select
another gift). This can be done up to 2 more times and then that gift is
declared safe, so no one else can steal it on their turn. It's guaranteed
to generate more than a few laughs and it's all in the name of fun.
Toy Drive
We will be collecting new toys and donating them to the Toys for Tots
program sponsored by the US Marine Corp. Please bring brand new toys in
their packaging but not gift wrapped and drop them off at the party. MCCC
member Tom Ball will deliver them on Monday morning to the official
Nashville Toys for Tots rep. Toy for Tots has been delivering hope since
1947: 604 million toys distributed to date and 272 million children
supported to date.
