In honor and remembrance of 9/11, we are participating in National Day of
Service on Saturday, September 10. Please help us share these two volunteer
opportunities with your students.

Wounded Warrior Homes Vista (25 spots available)
Tasks: Outdoor Gardening Project
Location: Vista-Address will be given when students register
Time/Two shifts: 8-11 or 11-2
What to wear: closed toe shoes, hat, sun glasses, and bring gardening gloves if
you have them.
Water, Snacks and Lunch Provided

Tri-City Hospital: NICU Reunion (Family Celebration) (10 spots available)
Tasks: help with health fair booths, pass out opportunity drawing tickets,
assist with children activities, and route families to different activities
Location: Tri-City Hospital Oceanside, Address will be given when students
register with Service Learning
Time/One Shift: 11:00-4:00 (5 hour event)
This activity is perfect for students who are looking for one-time service
projects that require interaction with children and families or sociology,
psychology and nursing students.
Lunch Provided

Sign-up at the Service Learning & Volunteer Center 3306, next to Admissions and
Records.

Service Learning and Volunteer Center OC3306, next to Admissions and Records,
see flier below. Students can learn about Service Learning, Volunteer Program,
and the Emergency Food Pantry.
