Hey Lena / Club ITers,
What about we try to zoom on Wed at 4PM just like club meetings.
So far, limited f/b on the logo. I think that we can adopt both versions
previously sent - the one with the black border for soft copies / web postings
and the one without the left stroke border for apparel and print items.
Thinking out loud. Hope everyone's summer is going well.

Hey Iter's,
Summer break is great isn't it! Thanks so much Rick for thinking about us
during your time off because creating a logo is a big deal. It's something that
represents our identity, purpose, and inner community within our club at MCC.
Can we have a meeting
about this and other things over the summer before it's official?

ClubITers,
Hope everyone is off to a great and SAFE summer. The PIO shop and I have been
working on the logo and attached is what we came up with based on the original
design. I am hoping to nail down the design by tomorrow with the PIO and plan
on getting the CSIT
Dept's input as well. Prof Isachsen and Prof Parks has been added since
ClubIT is a CSIT Dept led club.
I personally like the top version better with the depth of the left black
stroke, however, the PIO has advised that this will be harder to add to
t-shirts and other items that we will want to add the logo to, so I defer to
the experts at the PIO shop, but
you will have a chance to vote below. I was thinking that maybe we can get
t-shirts and wear them to school on club days either as is or over another
shirt to advertise on campus. This will surely show the campus what ClubIT is
all about.
Thinking out loud, I know someone that makes t-shirts, so maybe all club
members in good standing (have attended at least 5 sessions receives a
t-shirt). However, we would need to vote on this. Maybe we can get water
bottles with ClubIT labels to sell
at sporting events to raise $$ as well. We have quad copters to build, robots
to make, and RaspberryPIs to geek out on :-)
I would also be interested in getting embroidered polo shirts made that persons
could pay for. Selfishly, this will be more professional for me to wear on
club days.
What say you ClubITers, please vote your input at either of the two locations
based on the attached logos:
1) https://pollev.com/profc
2) Text profc to 37607 and then vote
