Dear Club ITers,
Last week, we held our first club meeting. We had an awesome turn out and
were able to cover a few topics. One of the more popular topics at the club
was the National Cyber League (NCL). Thus, I wanted to include a bit of
info for everyone to get familiar with it.
*What is the National Cyber League?** NCL

*- The National Cyber League (NCL) is a biannual cybersecurity competition
for high school and college students. The competition consists of a series
of challenges that allows students to demonstrate their ability to identify
hackers from forensic data, break into vulnerable websites, recover from
ransomware attacks, and more. Students compete in the NCL to build their
skills, obtain scouting reports of their performance for hiring purposes,
and to represent their school. *
*-You can register through the code that the club provides free of charge
to you.*
*- Once the registration takes place, we practice completing different
challenges during club meetings. *
*- No experience required. *
*To note:*
This coming meeting that will take place on 9/9/20, we will be voting on
what the club wants to do for the semester, and Prof Cassoni will be able
to give out vouchers to participate in NCL free of charge to you. All that
is required of you is to try your best!
The club has resources saved on our shared drive that contain a lot of
useful information. We will be sharing this info and collectively coaching
our club members throughout the season. If you decide to sit this season
out, you can still learn a ton just by going through some of these mock
exercises with us!
