"Chalk for Change is a collaboration between the Trust Transfer Project, Springfield Cultural Partnership, Community Music School of Springfield, the City of Springfield, the Springfield Department of Health and Human Services, and the Behavioral Health Network. Common Wealth Murals, known for Fresh Paint Springfield, is the presenting organizer for aerosol art and artists....The Trust Transfer Project stage will be programmed with an afternoon of family-friendly dance, spoken word, drumming, live visual art creation, and more, to bring messages of hope and healing to the City. Mayor Domenic Sarno and Health & Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris will provide remarks at 2:00 PM. CDC Foundation representative, Rachael Casey, will be our special guest for the Chalk for Change Event. Vanessa Ford, Program Director for the Trust Transfer Project will be emceeing the event....Simultaneous to the event in Court Square, artists will create 14 chalk sidewalk murals themed around positive change in our communities, a central tenet of the Trust Transfer Project....."
