At 9:45 p.m. I heard four gunshots. A few minutes later, another volley,
then another. They seemed to have been coming from different directions.
My son and I were in the kitchen, which backs onto Armoury Commons Park
and that allée of trees next to the basketball court. The windows were
open. My son was sure he heard the noise of someone coming through the
backyard chainlink fence where it was vandalized earlier this year. I
called 911 and the dispatcher didn't seem to have had a previous report.
Next thing I knew, there were police all over the area.

asked if I could walk through the answer was “yes just don’t step in
the blood”. This morning I did see blood spatters on the sidewalk and
