Divers! It's that time of year again - the *Epic Eden Easter Extravaganza* is almost upon us. This is a trip run by our sister club MASC where we get to venture out on the boat and enjoy the *warmer waters* in Eden, NSW. Previous years have been a *great success* with members wanting to return again and again! Check out these videos from recent trips -- https://vimeo.com/87807890 (2013) and https://vimeo.com/94274112 (2014). I've also attached a few pics from last year. The trip will take place over *Easter* *weekend*, with most typically making the 6 hour drive to Eden on the Thursday night (2nd April) and returning home on Monday afternoon. We will aim to organise carpooling where possible. Possible dives include: - Tathra Wharf (shore based) - Merimbula Wharf (shore based) - Tasman Hauler wreck - Henry Bolte wreck - Jackos Cave - Wobbegong Bay The dives are typically in the 10-20m range and generally suitable for divers with at least 20 dives experience. The water will be around 20-25 degrees C (much warmer than Melbourne). If you are not sure about your experience and want to come please let us know and we will have a chat. We’ll be *camping* in the Ben Boyd Park which is a huge bush type camping area, and for this special event there will be running water and hot showers – what luxury! For this trip all divers are required to be members of both MONUC and MASC. Sign up links are below: *http://www.monashareascubaclub.org.au/home* <http://www.monashareascubaclub.org.au/home> (MASC) *https://sites.google.com/site/monucdiveclub/* <https://sites.google.com/site/monucdiveclub/> (MONUC) Costs (excluding club memberships) will be split between all divers and are expected to be approximately: - $16 for accommodation per person, per night. - Car pooling costs based on cars used, with additional costs of approximately $40-$50 per person for towing the boat to Eden. - Boat dives will be $30 each, with an additional charge of $5 per dive where you don't have a boat licence. - A $5 charge for each day involving the use of the compressor. We might also join together and organise group cooking and will split costs accordingly. Gear hire will be at your usual club rates. If this sounds pretty amazing to you, and you're keen to get involved, fill out our spreadsheet at -- http://goo.gl/forms/ZAJRq2YDUl. We'll then be able to keep you in the loop with further information. Any questions, don't hesitate to shoot through an email. Happy diving!! Catalina
