This is good news to hear that a great club for young hams is still going
strong. Maybe we can do a joint event with them sometime.

Subject: [wara64] Clay Center Radio Club
The Clay Center club hasn't exactly died. Along with the other STEM activities
formerly supported by the DexterSouthfield school, they have moved.
They are now the Sci-Tech Amateur Radio Society (S.T.A.R.S.), with the club
call W1STR. The club shack is at:
New England Sci-Tech
16 Tech Circle, Natick, MA

A secondary shack in the same building is under construction. It will be
dedicated to space communications.
There are licensing courses and VE sessions roughly twice a month. I'm on the
VE team.
New England Sci-Tech (a STEM center / family makerspace) also has an astronomy
facility, a portable planetarium, an electronics lab, a woodworking shop, 3D
printers, and a laser cutter.
STARS will be running field day from the parking lot of the NEST facility, with
collaboration with the MIT-Lincoln Labs club and with sponsorship and loaned
radios from ICOM.
