Good idea. I will bring my meter to the April meeting.

Hi, the next meeting is April 20. However, I think we should start the kit
building project in May and the May meeting is May 18. The weather will be
better so it will be easier for folks to get there. I think we should do a show
and tell about those talking meters at the April meeting.

I am interested, too. Do we know the date of the next meeting? I just want to
make sure that I can commit to being there.

Does that mean that Nina would want to assemble a kit as well
That would be three kits so far.
I can pre order them and we can do them at the next meeting --which I assume
will be late April.

Bob and all,
I’m definitely interested, I would strongly prefer the no-soldering one.

Subject: [marc] Build A Radio From A Kit Soldering Or No Soldering
Hello to all,
At our last meeting Jerry, W3BPP, expressed an interest to complete
the soldering classes that we had done before Covid.
We had talked about a project that would include building a radio from a kit.
I did some searching primarily, on Amazon, and they have a number of DIY radio
kits listed on their site.
Two that I was particularly interested were - one that was assembly only with a
small wooden case
The board comes completely done and all the user needs to do is plug the board
in and assemble the case. This is FM broadcast only
The price is $19.99 plus tax
The second is a small board with about 20 components that need to be mounted
and soldered.
There is no case with this radio and it is also FM broadcast only.
It is $7.99 plus tax and there is also an offering of two radios for $10.99
plus tax and they do offer a discount for multiple orders.
Let me or Frank know if you have any interest in doing this project and your
preference for soldering or no soldering.
Thanks,
Bob
