Another thing to try is to turn off the vo/system cursor tracking when on pages that automatically refresh. Sometimes this will help, sometimes it won't, it depends on the refresh method used. However, a vo-shift-f3 will turn off cursor tracking, so your vo cursor is not affected by what the system cursor does. Just keep in mind this causes problems when you're trying to fill out forms and the like, so I don't recomend this be your default option, only use it when you're experiencing problems like you're having now.
