You could try pasting it in.  I don't know about the opening attachments to 
read text though, I never saw that.

Hi David, I wonder, if like Eudora in windows, if you could copy the
file in question, and paste it in to the message body, I wonder if that
would work, because, I run an email oldies list, and some people on
there might not know what would be going on if they had to open
attatchments to read text, so just was wondering about this.

Hi all, I'll try only to ask one question at a time, but wonder, I sent
myself a message with an attatchment, but the text I had written was in
an attatchment, rather than the body of the message, so where do you go
to have the text of a message be in the message body, and not in a
separate attatchment, as pm mail opened it up that way.  Thanks in
