[macvoiceover] parameter ram reset

Hi All,
1. Can any one out there assure me, if I try a "parameter ram" reset, and I run into trouble, and then need to do a "nvram and allram" reset, I can do it without a screen? 
2.   What does a "parameter ram" realy do?
