[macvoiceover] opening previous windows at start up in lion?

Hello:
I am using lion.
How can I prevent the system to open all the previous windows after turning off?
If I go to the Apple menu, and turn off the system from there, there is a check
box for this, but even when I uncheck it, It doesn't stay that way the next
time.
