OK so you are saying that you can allocate resources like RAM, hard drive,
and processor segments to Parallels. For example you think adding more to the
Parallels can require these programs
    to run efficiently?

Yes I am and Iwork as an instructor. WE are testing parallels because
client want's to run protools but also use kurzweil 1000. You really need to
try it before you buy it. WE runs well, kurzweill will run well although I
couldn't get a scanner working due to usb connetivity issues. the mac saw the
scanner and parallels also did but windows did not. Haven't tried Jaws yet.
Window-Eyes had document reading problems due to mostlikely the fac that I
couldn't run parallels in full screen mode because it would crash. ZoomText
would not install at all mostlikely to a lack of resourses. I haven't tried
allocating more to parallels.

Sorry your message was missing some words, but I think you were saying
that you run Parallels and it runs fine. Is this correct? One guy is saying
Parallels doesn't work and you says it does. Are you a totally blind user?-

never used bootcamp so can't address that. We runs well and windows
itself runs quite smoothly.

So you are using Window Eyes with XP and Parallels? What do you
think about the Boot Camp options? Do I have to restart the system in order to
boot into Windows or vise versa?

Shaun, we are testing paralells at the office and find it
excellent except for some reason I am having USB problems. After talking with
tech support(the best I have ever had) it was suttested that I reinstall
windows xp in paralells. The guy was excellent and really new exactly what he
was doing. I have run windoweyes and found that some apps work and some dont
read well. for some reason document reading just doesn't work. this maybe due
to working in a smaller window. I was not able to use paralells in full screen
mode because it would crash. I haven't tried Jaws yet and hope too. Paralells
is an incredible product and the tech support is the best. Gottta say I still
wouldn't recommend vista but that's your choice. I run vista on a dell and
find it slow and laggy. Window-eyes offers the best vista support. System
access is quite good as well. Have fun.

Sorry to reply on this thread, however I am new to the list and
desperately need your help. My name is Shaun and I am thinking of getting a Mac
Book Pro. I will also be running Parallels with Vista. I would be new to both
Mac and the Vista operating system, but not new to JAWS and XP. Can someone
give me some advice as to what I am in for. For the next week or so I will have
allot of questions along these lines. Thanks in advance!
