Hi Mike
No, nextup.com was offering the ones for Windows. I think they still are, actually, but they never offered the Mac versions. As they don't have a Mac application, that's not surprising. I totally agree about the Nuance voices. Don't really care for most of the Acapella ones myself, I can still here their synthetic artifacts particularly in the American English versions, probably because I used to use their older diphone-based voices extensively under Linux. That was back when they were called Babel Technologies and offered their voices to the Mbrola project. they were far from the best synthetic voices, but they were the best on linux at the time, and the current ones still sound a lot like them to me. Voice is one of those subjective things, basically we each like what we like, and I just don't happen to really care for most of those. It's too bad our tts voice options on OS X are really a bit limited, either the Apple voices, Acapella, or Cepstral (which has serious bugs still which prevent it from being a good voice to use with VO). Wish there were more voices like Alex, though, my personal opinion is he's one of the best voices to come along as of yet. Still, variety never hurts.

Hi everyone
A while ago, I think it was back in 2005, I remember hearing that the AT&T natural voices were being offered for Mac OS X. Does anyone know if they're still being offered and if they are, have they been updated for Intel Macs? Also, does anyone know who's selling them if they're still around?

Thanks
