Here is information to make safari react to sites as IE does, taken from a Small dog news letter,

Currently, Internet Explorer is not made for the Mac, but there are still some sites that require and/or prefer it. Ed has written in past issues of Kibbles (#582) about alternate ways to view sites that only render using Internet Explorer, since this seems to be a popular topic.

With Safari 3 (I’m on 3.1.2), there’s another way. Upon following a tip from Nixtechnica, I tried the following settings:

1. Open Preferences in Safari
2. Under the Advanced tab, check “Show Develop menu in menu bar”
3. Click the Develop menu in the Safari menu bar, and choose Develop > User Agent > Internet Explorer 7.0
4. Try using the IE-compatible website

I tried this using our Health Care website (which says it “works best” on Internet Explorer), and it logged me in perfectly.

Let me know if there are sites you know of that require/prefer IE. AND, definitely let us know if this tip did the trick!

Hello, this might be a site issue. I.E. The site might be coded for Internet Explorer rather than optimized for more browsers.

If you go to your develop menu in Safari, you can switch your user agent so the browser will appear to the site as if it is Internet Explorer rather than Safari, which may solve this issue.

If you don't have a develop menu, you can enable this in Safari preferences. I believe it is either in the general tab or advanced tab.

Best of luck and do let us know how you get on?…

Thanks so much and have a lovely weekend!…

Smiles,

Cara :)

I originally thought that this problem was a voice over problem but when I got someone to look at the screen, it is not this is a mac problem that I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with. I know that this isn't a voice over question. When I goto http://z15.invisionfree.com/the_alter_world/index.php? The quick loging and the cbox are not there on the mac but when I goto it with windows with Jaws for windows the quick log in is there. Why does windows show it and the mac does not? I need this to log into another website with in the website.
