You can configure the appearance by pressing VO+Shift+M with Downloads
selected.

Hi,
When I open the downloads folder off the dock it comes up in icons, and
voice over does not read them, I can not get it into a list view unless I
open it off the hard drive. Is their a shorter way to do this, or where am I
going wrong, please help? Don
