It doesn't stream tv channels, but internet content, like for example, if
you get a streaming account from netflix for about $8 a month you can
stream all the content you want. That's great for older movies and tv
shows plus you can buy or rent movies or tv shows from the ITunes store.
I like it because I have my tv hooked up to a bose cinenate system and can
listen to good quality internet radio. Remember that you don't need your
computer unless there's something you need to stream from it like music or
photos.
