I’ll offer the simplest of advice…the same I often tell my wife…have you
done a reboot? And, if that fails, a Cold start? There’s a guy @ my
wife’s place of employment who is a Technical Expert. He often asks those
two questions followed by, “try that & if it doesn’t work, come back.”

On my Mac mini when I am in the dock if I press a letter corresponding
with the program I want to open, voiceover used to move to that item and I
could then press enter to select it. Now when I press the letter of the
corresponding program voiceover does not read the program and I have to
use my left and right arrows to move to the program then select it. Does
