Hey,
My suggestion to you would be to try the newest version of Adium X. It
integrates with FaceBook chat, nicely, and also I do believe you can do Twitter
with it, and you have been able to for quite some time now.
To get it, just go to http://www.versiontracker.com/, select Mac
Applications, and search for Adium.
