My friend's Daughter is visually impaired. I am trying to find easiest way
for her to write documents as she is in first year of third level and
getting projects on weekly bases. At the moment she enters text on her
Iphone 6 large screen using note/memo function of apple to write essays and
then gets me or her sister to port them into word etc. The advantage of the
apple memo function is she can expand test and collapse on screen with ease.
When I port into word I then convert to PDF and she can use the review and
expand pdf with ease. We have a large touch screen PC that I am trying to
get this girl to use more and searching for friendly document processing
software that she can enter data directly once and allow her format and
structure text to meet projects requirements. what i am looking for is a
product that can with touch screen expand and collapse as she creates
documents with same ease she can view pdf or apple memo. The Google doc
and Microsoft word can expand and collapse a bit but will not expand up to
level of large text that she can manage with ease on the apple memo.
Ideally I would like something that would work across PC, Apple IPAd, Iphone
or her apple Mac. I have tried the apple word doc and that does not suit. An
example of what I am saying is that I am writing this email on gmail and
touch screen, I can expand the text by factor of approx 4 and move screen
about but she needs it by factor of 8 to stop eye strain. Would something
like "MAC Pages" be a better software to use for something like what I have
outlined above?.
Many thanks for any help on this as I am struggleing to help them find a
solution and really could use your assistance.
