Ok, played around with it a bit, you can select the weird character, then use
command e to activate use selection for find. Then select a new line character
using shift plus arrow wherever one occurs, create a new line at the end of
your document if you need to.
Then go to the find and replace dialogue through the edit menu, or command
option f, use VO arrow to make sure the weird character is in the find edit
field, VO arrow to the replace edit field and command v to paste in the new
line character you previously copied. Then VO arrow to the all button and press
it.
Once I checked the sequence it took longer to type it than execute it, so it
should be no problem.
