I am continuing to run the sierra betas as they continue even after the initial
release. I am having a couple of strange problems and I want to know if other
people running sierra in any form are having these.
The most outstanding problem is with item chooser. It appears that the
appropriate items for a window do not show. In desktop it appears to be
accurate. But both in my root home directory and in my Kindle Content in
Library it tells me I have 56 itmes even though when I go through the window
for instance in My Kindle Content it says I have 850 items. Voiceover also
announces individual items as I move to them but the item chooser doesn't
reflect this content.
Secondly, while there is now supposed to be an item to synchronize voiceover
and keyboard focus, when using icon view in finder my keyboard focus almost
always just says icon view collection instead of showing a particular item
selected. I am having some other issues with opening items in finder but given
the keyboard focus I don't think that is surprising but is a result of this
issue.
I haven't yet booted into my sierra installation that was a direct upgrade from
El Capitan and is running the regular sierra system instead of beta. I'm
running music for our house off my Mac and don't want to interrupt it until
tonight to do further diagnosing that would require rebooting or reinstalling.
I just want to know if anybody else is having any of these problems.
