This is a minor issue, and wouldn’t detract much from my enjoyment of Big Sur,
but the promised start-up sound and my Mail sounds will not play, no matter
what I do. I’ve shut down and restarted, I’ve gone through System Prefs and
made sure everything is checked, and still no joy. I’m installing the 11.1
upgrade right now, so maybe that’ll fix it?
