Just in case... You can use cmd+shift+left/right arrows to move through a
file. Cmd+option+arrows moves in smaller increments, and cmd+arrows moves
between items in a playlist, cd etc.

Just use VLC: www.videolan.org. It can do what you want and a lot more.

Hi
Is there something else than Itunes you could recommend? I'm looking for a
simple program which can play the most important audio and video file. and
it would be nice if you could skip back and forward with the keyboard, like
the arrow keys. I have MPC-HC doing this on windows. Now it's time to look
for something similar on the Mac. I'm a bit wary of using Itunes because I
don't want to import any music or just anything into a library and such ...
Thanks for your recommendations
