[macvoiceover] Saving Portable VO Preferences. Help please.

Hey all. I'm trying to save VO Preferences to a thumb drive that I deleeted everything off of and I am getting an error message that ssays it was unable to save. Is there something that I need to do before I can do that? Or do I have a thumb drive that VO doesn't support? Thanks.
