Hmmm, thanks. So if I use an external metronome like I usually do to keep
myself in time with myself that is ok, I don’t need to synch up with Garage
Band’s timeing? Cool. My son has used the Garage Band iPhone app a whole bunch,
I know it’s different, but he should get the concepts ok.
Do I need to worry about the volume of the input with GB? My effects pedalwith
the USB out seems to have a fixed maximum volume, as it’s designed to send a
signal to an amp or a mixer for a PA. I just did a sample recording with Quick
Time to see if I had things connected. The tone was nice and clear, but it
seemed a little quiet.

Oh, don't worry about the audio interface, my bass effects processor has USB
out, and I have a back up USB interface I can plug into. This means I can’t
use a lack of connectivity to bail out of the plan.
