Hi, I doubt there is anything you can do about this if my guess is right. On my Mac, I use one of the new voices Tom for the Mail app. Tom missed pronounced the word just as you described but, when I switched to Alex, the word was pronounced correctly. So the question is, What voice are you using? BTW, this pronounciation bug happened with the other new premium American English voices I have installed too. hth Ricardo Walker ricardo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Twitter:@apple2thecore www.appletothecore.info On Jun 7, 2012, at 6:49 PM, Keith Reedy <keithreedy@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Ian, > > The word is spoken for me just as if it had the added letters. > > I noticed in the table that there were a number of words corrected to speak > properly and I am sure that if you were to look at this table when Voiceover > is set to another language you would find much the same in that language. > Just another one of the great things about our wonderful MAC. > Keith Reedy > keithreedy@xxxxxxxxxxxx > > > > On Jun 7, 2012, at 6:16 PM, Ian Edwards wrote: > >> Thanks Keith. >> >> Out of curiosity, how does it pronounce for you?
