Ginny and others,
When you select an effect, like compression as Ginny talked about this
morning, you at times will find a new list of choices, these, for the
most part are presets, or, pre selects. These are preset choices
that the makers of GarageBand added to the program that you mite want
to use, rather than starting from scratch with all of the effects
controls. Some times you may find them helpful and at other times,
maybe not, however it was thoughtful of them to give us a starting
point. If you have never used some of these effects, or, if you are
new to recording, they are a wonderful learning tool.
